Canvas Art News from The Canvas Lounge

Contemporary interior designers NewId commissioned our in-house artist Kurt Marlow to create a huge canvas painting. The brief was to include a selection of golds, browns and reds that corresponded with the scheme of the room it was going in. The other objective was that the painting had to look like a spin painting similar to those done by Damien Hirst. As usual the deadlines were tight as too was the budget so we were'nt able to spin the canvas using a spining platform but instead Kurt replicated the effect by hand. We were very pleased with the outcome as to was the Client.
