I was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire. I spent the 90s touring the world with a rock n roll band, nowadays Im designing art and merchandise back in Bradford.
I have always drawn, painted and built things since I can remember. The last few years are the first I have thought about art commercially.
I suppose every form of art has influences, I have a few different series of work. My more accessible stuff is based on retro glamour, whereas my Wreaking Havoc series is more debaucherous.
There are thousands of artists I admire, too many to mention, although since acquiring an airbrush I have been temporarily drawn down the Vince Ray route.
Backstage Pass is my most recent favourite that The Canvas Lounge feature. It tells the story of a naive groupie, caught up in a supposedly glamourous lifestyle, it was nearly called Too Much Too Soon.
The original is shaped out of wood and presented in two layers, so the skull is behind the girl.
The Canvas Lounge is one of the best art reproduction companies I have come across and I am very proud to be featured on their galleries.
Look out for a new range of images I am producing this summer, I will be working in shades of grey and edging back to the retro glamour side of things.

I was born in the East End of London, before it was a hip place to live. I grew up in North and South London and I have been living in Central London for the last 10 years - I love it here.
How did you get into art?
I started off making 3D box assemblages, collages and mail art. I then began entering my work in juried art competitions and won a few prizes so I decided to study printmaking at Central St Martins. My first solo show was in a small arts centre in Reading. On the preview someone attempted suicide in the kitchen. Then a vagrant gatecrashed, he proceeded to drink all the beer and started dissing the show while getting his dog to go round sniffing all my work... I knew it was the start of something magical.
What are the influences behind your Work?
The short answer would be, curiosity, having the curiosity to look a little deeper at everything around me. I find so many things fascinating: cities and city-life, light, artificial or natural, films, memory, dreams, patina of old or found objects, patterns and textures in nature and the stories all these things reveal. Art is not something you just do in a studio, its a way of looking at the world. I hope my photographs encourage that kind of curiosity in others.
Which fellow artists do you admire?
Thats a really difficult question. I admire most fellow artists but for different reasons. I admire some for their drawing skills, some for their innovative techniques, some for their great ideas. Every year I go to a batch of graduate shows and Im always going to small unheard of shows in London - there is so much talent around, its quite life affirming.
Tell us about 1 of your pieces on the Canvas Lounge website, the inspiration, the colours, and is it your favourite piece on the site?
My current favourite is liquid metal which is one from a recent series of similar images. Its quite a departure from my other work. Its very unusual, it has hard, monochromatic and metallic qualities but it also has an organic and fugitive dynamic sense of movement. I like that you grapple with what you see as the scale and picture plan shifts and it takes you on quite a trip because you see loads of things in it, so it rewards prolonged viewing.
What do you think of the Canvas Lounge?
I think its a refreshing take on art websites, its more in tune with the man on the street and has its finger on the pulse.
And finally do you have any last comments?
In addition to the photographs you see on Canvas Lounge, I make 3D assemblages, etchings, paintings and site specific installations. Ive also curated shows and done some art direction.

So, tell us a brief bit about yourself. Where you were born, grew up and where you are now.
Hi, Im FAMOUS WHEN DEAD, born and raised in sunny Stoke on Trent where I now live with my own young family, surprisingly, Im into art.
How did you get into art?
I kind of just fell into it.
What are the influences behind your Work?
Everything and nothing, thats a really difficult question to answer, at the moment thought Im really into American low brow art but really, you can find inspiration all around you, you just have to open your eyes.
Which fellow artists do you admire?
There are way too many to list and half of them I dont remember their names, but I would say right now that Cleon Peterson and Blu are 2 artists that are definitely worth watching.
Tell us about 1 of your pieces on the Canvas Lounge website, the inspiration, the colours, and is it your favourite piece on the site?
Its got to be I it Blame the Radio Waves the inspiration was a previous painting that I did called Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer which was an experimental piece exploring the notion of organized chaos, the ideas with the colours was simply to use as many different ones as possible, I think this would be my favourite piece on the Canvas Lounge, its certainly the one that Im most protective over
What do you think of the Canvas Lounge?
I think the Canvas Lounge stinks, ha-ha you didnt see that coming, no honestly I think its ace, Ive been working with the canvas lounge for several years now and hope to continue doing so for many more years
And finally do you have any last comments?
Yeah, stop reading this and buy some of my artwork!

Tattoo Artist Hellen Brown has joined the Canvas Lounge. We have a fantastic selection of her work including 'Sylvia' (image above) which is a great example of what she does. Here is a small Bio which she sent us -
My main creative outlet is tattooing, which has been my career since 2003. My Artwork usually takes inspiration from the 20s and 30s, often depicting traditional ladies and imagery of this period. I work a lot in black and grey in my tattoo work, so its nice to be creative with colour in my artwork.
